Collaborator is where the books stop being something you read and start being something you work with. It helps you turn Melis's ideas into things you can actually use — and it can remember what you're working on, so it gets more useful the more you use it.
Making things
Ask Collaborator to build something, and it will. For example:
- A workshop plan built around one of the models from the books.
- A meeting agenda for introducing a framework to your team.
- A short guide, a set of prompts, an outline for a session you're running.
You describe what you need in your own words, and Collaborator drafts it — grounded in the books, and shaped by good facilitation and design practice so the result is something that holds up in the room, not just on the page.
Downloading your work
Anything Collaborator makes, you can take with you. Download a document and use it, edit it, share it — it's yours. The app is a starting point and a thinking partner, not a walled garden.
Remembering you
Collaborator can remember useful things about you and your work — the sector you're in, the kind of projects you run, what you're trying to achieve. That way you don't have to re-explain your context every time, and what it produces fits your situation more closely.
A few things worth knowing:
- Memory is yours to switch on. It's off until you choose to turn it on. When you mention something about your work that would be useful to hold onto, the app may gently ask whether you'd like it to start remembering — you can say yes, or not.
- It carries across conversations. What you tell it in one conversation can inform the next, so the relationship builds over time rather than resetting each session.
- You're always in control. You can see everything it remembers, change anything that's off, and delete anything you don't want kept.
There's a dedicated article on exactly how memory works and how to manage it — see Memory & privacy: your control.
When it's a leadership question, not a design one
Collaborator is built for the work of design — designing workshops, shaping facilitation, planning how a project should run.
If your question shifts from how do I design this piece of work to how do I lead through this — changing the culture of your team, growing as a leader — that's a different kind of conversation, and there's a another tool coming soon for exactly that. When that moment comes, the app will point you toward it.
